Setting up a show takes three short steps: its name, where it’s published, and a sentence about what it is. Everything else is a checklist on your dashboard that you can finish at your own pace. You can change any of it later.

Step 1: Start a new show

The first time you sign in, TurboCast asks how you’d like to get started. Choose New show.

Choose New show to start from scratch.

Already have a show in TurboCast? Click your show’s name at the top of the left menu, choose Create New Show, then Create a new show.

Step 2: Name it

Type your show’s name and click Continue.

Step 3: Choose your channels

A channel is somewhere your show is published. There are two kinds:

  • Public channel: listed in Apple Podcasts, Spotify and other directories. Anyone can subscribe.
  • Private channel: only for people you invite or who use your signup link. Each listener gets their own feed.

Public channel is selected to start. Click a card to select or clear it; you can choose both. Your public channel uses your show’s name. A private channel is called Your Show (Private), so listeners who follow both can tell them apart. You can rename either one later.

Below the cards is your Release time zone. TurboCast picks it up from your computer and uses it whenever you schedule an episode. If it’s wrong, click Change and choose yours; you can also change it later in Settings. Then click Save and continue.

Step 4: Tell listeners what it’s about

Write a sentence or two about your show. If you chose a public channel, also pick a Category, which is where Apple Podcasts and Spotify list you, and say whether the show has explicit content. A private-only show just needs the description.

Click Finish setup. To change your channels first, click Back.

Step 5: Finish setting up each channel

You land on your show’s dashboard. Each channel has a checklist of what’s left, such as adding cover art, publishing your first episode, submitting to Apple Podcasts or inviting your first listener. Click the button beside a task to do it. Tasks tick themselves off as you go.
