Importing copies your show’s details and every episode from your current host into TurboCast. All you need is your show’s RSS feed address, which your current host shows in its settings.
Step 1: Choose Import a show
On the start screen, choose Existing show, then Import your show. If you already have a show in TurboCast, click your show’s name at the top of the left menu, choose Create New Show, then Import a show.
Step 2: Paste your feed address
Paste your show’s RSS feed address into RSS feed URL and click Preview feed.
Step 3: Check it’s the right show
TurboCast reads the feed and shows you the show’s name, artwork and how many episodes it found. If it’s right, click Continue. If not, click Try another URL.
Step 4: Choose channels and start the import
Choose where the show is published. Most people moving a public show keep a Public channel, and you can add a Private channel at the same time. Check the Release time zone, then click Start import.
The import runs in the background and can take a few minutes for a large back catalog. The page shows each step as it finishes. You can close the window; the import keeps going without it.
Step 5: Point your old feed at TurboCast
This is the step that moves your subscribers. Your public channel has its own feed address, which starts with https://feeds.turbocast.io/. To find it, click Channels, open your public channel and go to the Directories tab.
Then, at your old host, set up a permanent (301) redirect from your old feed to that address. Most hosts call this “redirect feed” or “move podcast” in their settings. Podcast apps that check your old feed follow the redirect and switch to TurboCast.
